Invisible Joker is a Rare Effect Joker that can be sold after two rounds to duplicate a random Joker in the player's inventory.

The copied Joker will retain almost all the properties of the original, including any scaling, Edition, and Stickers. There are only 2 exceptions: Negative Editions, which are removed from the copy, and copying a second Invisible Joker, which will have its counter reset to 0/2.

When Invisible Joker is debuffed by either its own Perishable Sticker or the Crimson Heart Boss Blind, it can still be sold for the normal sell price, but will no longer duplicate another Joker.

Synergies

Any deck can benefit from Invisible Joker, but the Black Deck offers more rooms to maneuver thanks to its +1 Joker Slot. That said, having an extra joker slot makes Invisible Joker less likely to pick a specific joker.

Invisible Joker does not synergize with any poker hand.

Invisible Joker does not synergize with any other Joker, other than whatever joker you have that's the "best". To provide the best result, players are advised to sell any unimportant Jokers they don't want before selling Invisible Joker, to ensure they get a duplicate of the intended Joker.

  • Because Verdant Leaf requires selling one Joker to neutralize its effect, Invisible Joker can benefit players if carried from the start of Ante 8, which can then be sold to disable Verdant Leaf and still retain 5 Jokers.

Anti-Synergies

  • On a Knife's Edge: Invisible Joker might duplicate the Eternal, Pinned Ceremonial Dagger, leaving one permanently stuck behind the other and thus unable to scale.

Usage Notes

  • Unlocking Invisible Joker is done easiest on the Painted Deck since it has -1 Joker slot, but only if the player does not purchase any Negative Jokers, or the Antimatter Voucher.
  • Invisible Joker can duplicate a second Invisible Joker if players manage to acquire one via Showman. However, the duplicated Invisible Joker will have its rounds played status reset to 0/2.
  • An Invisible Joker that is duplicated by the Ankh Spectral Card will be created with the same number of "round played" status as the original. Any copies created by selling a second Invisible Joker will still have 0/2 rounds played, however.
  • A duplicated Joker from a Negative edition Invisible Joker can let the player have 1 more Joker than the number of slots. If the player manages to acquire a negative Invisible Joker and sell it with all joker slots filled, the player will still gain a copy of a random joker. Doing so, however, will add -1 to the Joker Slots (example: 6/5), preventing other Negative Jokers from being bought.
  • If Invisible Joker copies a debuffed Joker, the copied Joker will also be debuffed. The same applies for temporary debuff caused by Crimson Heart, while in next hand they will both recover.
    • Specially, if an Invisible Joker copies a debuffed Negative Joker (whether it obtains negative earlier and then debuff, or vice versa), though the copied Joker does not have a negative effect, selling it will still result in a decrease in Joker Slot, which may be a bug.
  • Copying a Joker does not copy the card back - the copied Joker will always be created with the Red Deck's card back and can thus be identified even when turned face down by the Amber Acorn boss blind. This is presumed to be a bug.
  • The line (Removes Negative from copy) in the Joker's effect only shows if the player already has a negative Joker.
  • Selling an active Invisible Joker while having no other Jokers will show a "No other Jokers!" message in place of the normal "Duplicated!" text.
  • Selling an active Invisible Joker when the player has more Jokers than Joker slots (example: 6/5) will show an exceedingly rare "No Room!" message, despite the Joker description not explicitly stating (Must have room).
  • The Non-Perishable challenge bans Invisible Joker.

Trivia

Old texture of Invisible Joker
  • The card art is semi-transparent, making it somewhat see-through.
  • The art of Invisible Joker is actually the outfit of Jimbo (or in other words, Jimbo becomes invisible). This can be more clearly seen from the art in the demo version, which lacks the transparent effect.
  • Of the three jokers with sell effects (the other two being Diet Cola and Luchador), this is the only joker that cannot be copied.
  • In the second demo, duplicating Invisible Joker using a second Invisible Joker preserved the "round played" status (2/2), thus it could be immediately sold, creating another ready-to-sell copy. This process effectively allowed players to farm infinite money by duplicating and selling Invisible Joker over and over.
