Verdant Leaf is a showdown blind that debuffs all of the playing cards in the deck until 1 Joker is sold.

• The Non-Perishable ( ), Typecast ( ), and Jokerless ( ) challenges ban Verdant Leaf. The former two's gimmick revolve around Jokers being Eternal (), while the latter forbids any way of obtaining Jokers to begin with.

• It is advised to sell a Joker that does not contribute to your score, such as an economy Joker or a useless Negative ({{hl|edition|+1}} Joker or Consumable slot Joker (Negative).png) Joker.
• Selling an Invisible Joker (After {{hl|orange|2}} rounds, sell this card to {{hl|orange|Duplicate}} a random Joker <br> {{currently|{{hl|orange|0}}/2}} <br> {{hl|gray|(Removes [[Negative|{{hl|edition|Negative}}]] from copy)}} Win a run without ever having more than {{hl|orange|4 Jokers}} Rare Effect N/A (Passive) Invisible Joker.png) creates a copy of one your Jokers, which satisfies the blind's condition while potentially giving a useful Joker.
• Entering this blind with a Judgement (Creates a random [[Jokers|{{hl|orange|Joker}}]] card<br>{{room}} Available from start. Tarot Judgement.png) or Wraith (Creates a random [[Rare Jokers|{{hl|red|Rare}} {{hl|orange|Joker}}]], sets money to {{$|0}} Available from start. Spectral Wraith.png) in your consumable slot allows you to create a random Joker after selling one.
• You do not have to sell a Joker to beat this blind; having a high leveled Poker Hand and/or strong Jokers can sometimes be enough despite having debuffed cards.
• Surprisingly, the card spawned from Marble Joker (Adds one [[Stone Cards|{{hl|orange|Stone}}]] card to the deck when [[Blinds|{{hl|orange|Blind}}]] is selected Uncommon Effect On Blind Select Marble Joker.png) in the round does not get debuffed. If the player manages to draw that card, the +50 Chips might help.
  • Strangely, this interaction does not occur with Certificate (When round begins, add a random {{hl|orange|playing card}} with a random [[Seal|{{hl|orange|seal}}]] to your hand Have a [[Gold_Cards|Gold playing card]] with a [[Gold_Seal|{{hl|orange|Gold Seal}}]] Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Certificate.png).

Show Hypothetical Antes

• After selling a Joker, the description of Verdant Leaf will disappear, like other Boss Blinds do after being disabled.
• If Luchador (Sell this card to disable the current [[Blinds|{{hl|orange|Boss Blind}}]] Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Luchador.png) is sold during Verdant Leaf, it will disable the Blind before Verdant Leaf can disable itself. This can be inferred from the ordering of getting the sell value and the Blind being disabled, and is confirmed by the source code.
• Leaves are a suit in German decks, replacing  Spades.
