To the Moon is an Uncommon Economy Joker that gives an extra $1 interest for every $5 held at the end of a round. Extra interest earned by the card is based on how much money the player is holding and limited by the current interest cap ($5 by default). The interest cap can be increased by buying Seed Money and Money Tree. It is worth noting that the effect of To The Moon stacks with multiple copies of itself, gaining an extra $2 interest for every $5 held with two copies, an extra $3 with three copies, and so on and so forth.

Synergies

This Joker works best with decks that want a high amount of money, like Zodiac Deck, Nebula Deck, and Painted Deck, which tend to scale most through Tarot and Planet cards that are purchased in the shop. It also is powerful with Yellow Deck, as this deck tends to gain large amounts of interest earlier.

This card doesn't affect any hands.

As with many money-producing Jokers, it directly buffs the effects of Bull and Bootstraps. It also, indirectly, powers up Flash Card, Red Card, Ceremonial Dagger, and other such economy-based scaling Jokers by producing more money to use in activating their effects.

Jokers that produce money mid-round, like Rough Gem, Mail-In Rebate, and Faceless Joker, work very well with To the Moon, as the money produced counts towards interest earned at the end of the round.

Any other Joker that makes money, like Golden Joker, can be phased out in favor of this one, once you have enough interest going.

Being an Uncommon Joker, To the Moon also benefits from Baseball Card, as it provides X1.5 Mult alongside its economy benefits.

  • Gold Cards and Gold Seal allow money generation mid-round, meaning the money they make counts toward interest earned at the end.
  • Seed Money and Money Tree have one of the strongest synergies with To The Moon, as they raise the base interest cap. With both vouchers, To the Moon can end up producing $40 at the end of every round.

Anti-Synergies

Decks

  • Avoid this Joker on Green Deck and Mad World, as those decks cannot gain interest at any time.
  • Luxury Tax receives little benefit from To The Moon, as in order to take advantage of its high interest, the player would want high starting money, which this deck punishes.

Jokers

  • Vagabond encourages playing without earning interest, making To The Moon useless.
  • Credit Card enables going $20 in debt, well below the minimum interest level.

Usage Notes

Trivia

  • "[Going] to the moon" is a common phrase used by cryptocurrency traders to describe a stock that is rising incredibly fast. The card art depicts the price of a stock going up exponentially.
  • Unfortunately, this Joker has no synergies with the tarot card The Moon.
