Satellite is an Uncommon Economy Joker that gives $1 at the end of each round per unique Planet card used in the run. Players can earn up to $9 from it by using the normal Planet Cards, and an additional $3 can be earned in a run by playing the three secret hands.

Each planet card only needs to be used once in a run to count for Satellite. Black Hole (Upgrade every [[Poker Hands|{{hl|purple|poker hand}}]] by {{hl|orange|1}} level Available from start. Spectral Black Hole.png) is a Spectral card, and will not increase the $ gained from Satellite, even if opened from within a Celestial booster pack.

Without a steady Economy, unlocking Satellite may prove to be a difficult task.

• The Yellow Deck ( Start with extra {{Money|10}} Discover at least {{hl|orange|50}} items from your [[Collection|collection]] Yellow Deck.png) is a decent choice for the run to unlock Satellite as it starts the player with an extra $10, earning the player Interest from defeating the first Blind of the run, and setting up for further Economic gain.
• Economy Jokers such as Golden Joker (Earn {{Money|4}} at end of round Common Economy N/A (Passive) Golden_Joker.png), Mail-In Rebate (Earn {{Money|5}} for each discarded [[Card Ranks|{{hl|orange|[rank]}}]], rank changes every round Common Economy On Discard Mail-In Rebate.png), etc. are directly helpful in reaching the unlock condition.
• The Bull ({{Chips|+2}} for each {{$|1}} you have <br> {{currently|{{chips|+0}}}} Uncommon Chips Independent Bull.png) and Bootstraps ({{Mult|+2}} for every {{Money|5}} you have <br> {{Currently|{{Mult|+0}}}} Have at least {{hl|orange|2}} {{hl|edition|Polychrome}} Jokers at the same time. • Erratic Deck ( All [[Card Ranks|{{hl|orange|Ranks}}]] and [[Suits|{{hl|orange|Suits}}]] in deck are randomized Win a run with any [[Decks|deck]] on the {{Stake|Orange}} difficulty or harder Erratic Deck.png) may require no Deck modifications at all to unlock the secret Poker Hands.

Playing the three secret hands (Flush House, Five of a Kind and Flush Five) to unlock their planets allows players to maximize this Joker's value.

• Since Satellite is maximized through the use of Planet Cards, it synergizes with Constellation (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.1}} every time a [[Planet_Cards|{{hl|cyan|Planet}}]] card is used <br> {{currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Independent Constellation.png), which gains X0.1 Mult per planet card used.

• In real life, satellites (also known as "artificial satellites" or "orbiters") are used to collect data and relay signals about the planet it orbits. This plays into the Joker's main effect of rewarding money for each unique planet "discovered" by obtaining their card.
• Although there have been many satellites sent to orbit other planets, most of them have been retired due to lost contact. Currently, the only planets that have active artificial satellites are Earth and Mars, which is why the art of the Joker depicts a satellite above a planet that resembles Earth.
