Spectral Cards

Spectral Cards are a form of consumable obtainable during a run. They can also be seen in their dedicated tab in the Collection.

Spectral cards bear a resemblance to Tarot cards in that their general trait is to modify playing cards in the deck, though this time to a much greater extent, providing considerably better perks. To balance these drastic effects out, Spectral cards tend to also have massive drawbacks that can meaningfully hinder the run, leading the player into a high-risk high-reward style of play. The disadvantages range from setting money to $0, to destroying Jokers, to reducing hand size. All 18 Spectral cards are readily accessible on a fresh profile with no unlocking required, but one would only be able to find them in Booster Packs. There are also ways to put Spectral cards in the consumable slots, be it through certain Jokers or acquired through the Shop, but keep in mind the second method is only available to those on Ghost Deck ( [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] cards may appear in the shop, start with a {{spectral|Hex}} card Win a run with the {{D|Yellow}} on [[Stakes|any difficulty]] Ghost Deck.png).

Any Spectral card has an equal chance of appearing, with the exclusion of The Soul (Creates a [[Legendary Jokers|{{hl|purple|Legendary}}]] Joker <br> {{room}} Available from start. Spectral The Soul.png) and Black Hole (Upgrade every [[Poker Hands|{{hl|purple|poker hand}}]] by {{hl|orange|1}} level Available from start. Spectral Black Hole.png). Booster Packs are the only way to obtain these consumables, having only a 0.3% chance to appear for every card found in a Spectral Pack, as well as Arcana Packs for The Soul and Celestial Packs for Black Hole. Any other method of obtaining Spectral cards, such as Séance (If [[Poker Hands|{{hl|orange|poker hand}}]] is a {{ph|Straight Flush}}, create a random [[Spectral_Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] card <br> {{room}} Uncommon Effect Independent Séance.png) or Sixth Sense (If {{hl|orange|first hand}} of round is a single {{hl|orange|6}}, destroy it and create a [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] card <br> {{room}} Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Sixth_Sense.png), as well as using Ghost Deck ( [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] cards may appear in the shop, start with a {{spectral|Hex}} card Win a run with the {{D|Yellow}} on [[Stakes|any difficulty]] Ghost Deck.png), are not able to generate these two special Spectral cards.

	Deja Vu	Add a Red Seal to 1 selected card in your hand
	Hex	Add Polychrome to a random Joker, destroy all other Jokers
	Trance	Add a Blue Seal to 1 selected card in your hand
	Medium	Add a Purple Seal to 1 selected card in your hand
	Cryptid	Create 2 copies of 1 selected card in your hand
	The Soul	Creates a Legendary Joker (Must have room)
	Black Hole	Upgrade every poker hand by 1 level

• Spectral Cards, like Jokers and other Consumables, normally can't have duplicates in the shop or Booster Packs without Showman ([[Jokers|{{hl|orange|Joker}}]], [[Tarot Cards|{{hl|purple|Tarot}}]], [[Planet Cards|{{hl|cyan|Planet}}]], and [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] cards may appear multiple times Reach Ante level {{hl|orange|4}} Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Showman.png). If all 18 Spectral Cards are in the player's possession, subsequent Spectral Card spawns will always be Incantation (Destroy {{hl|orange|1}} random card in your hand, add {{hl|orange|4}} random [[Card_Modifiers#Enhancements|{{hl|orange|Enhanced}}]] [[Card Ranks#Number cards|{{hl|orange|numbered cards}}]] to your hand Available from start. • Although the probability is extremely low, it is possible that The Soul (Creates a [[Legendary Jokers|{{hl|purple|Legendary}}]] Joker <br> {{room}} Available from start. Spectral The Soul.png) and Black Hole (Upgrade every [[Poker Hands|{{hl|purple|poker hand}}]] by {{hl|orange|1}} level Available from start. Spectral Black Hole.png) may appear together in a Spectral Pack.
• Omen Globe ({{Spectral|}} cards may appear in any of the [[Arcana Packs|{{hl|orange|Arcana Packs}}]] Use a total of 25 Tarot cards from booster packs Upgraded Omen Globe.png) allows for Spectral Cards to appear in Arcana Packs as well.

• While other consumables, such as Tarots and Planets, are based on predefined sets, Spectral Cards are more unique as they do not belong to any previously established collection.
• Spectral Cards seem to deal with supernatural and spiritual symbols, spells, events, items and creatures that affect ordinary objects or people in some way.
