Flower Pot is an Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Joker that rewards the player with X3 Mult for playing at least one scoring card of every suit. Flower Pot can only trigger when at least 4 cards are scored in a given hand.

Cards with multiple suits (such as Wild Cards or cards affected by Smeared Joker) will only count for a single suit per card, but they can replace missing suits the player needs to activate its effect.

Debuffed cards still count for their suit. Debuffed wild cards don't count at all, though this seems to be a bug.

To unlock this Joker, the player must reach Ante 8 for the first time. Do note that the condition is only to reach Ante 8 and not necessarily beating it.

Synergies

  • Abandoned Deck and Mad World are easier to sift through with discards due to their smaller size.
  • Painted Deck and Red Deck are also easier to sift through due to a larger hand size and extra discard, respectively.
  • Wild Cards work fantastically with Flower Pot as they can count as any suit. However, it should be noted that Wild cards will only count as one suit per card, meaning that a single Wild card cannot earn Flower Pot's X3 Mult on its own. Four Wild cards, or three Wild Cards and a normal suited card on the other hand, will always trigger Flower Pot's effect. Re-triggering a Wild Card does not make it count for multiple suits.
  • Four of a Kind is one of the best poker hands with Flower Pot as it needs four cards of every suit to begin with assuming the player doesn't heavily modify their deck.
  • Straights are a five-card hand that only cares about rank, meaning it's easy to get at least one card of every suit in a hand.
  • Full Houses require five cards to be played, meaning it's easier to get four different suits.
  • Two Pairs require four cards and is easier to assemble than a Four of a Kind. Though, when compared to the other hands, it may be harder to get all four suits in a hand.
  • Splash is easily one of the best Jokers to use with Flower Pot, since it lets the player play smaller hands like Pairs or High Cards and still obtain the X3 Mult from Flower Pot.
  • Smeared Joker is another powerful Joker for Flower Pot as loosens the requirements from one card of each suit to just two of each color. Smeared Joker can also negate Flower Pot's anti-synergy with Checkered Deck as that deck doesn't naturally contain any clubs or diamonds.
  • Seeing Double also works great alongside Flower Pot assuming the player plays a proper hand that's capable of triggering both.
  • The Family and The Order grant incredible XMult to a Four of A Kind and a Straight respectively, the poker hands that work best with Flower Pot.

Anti-Synergies

Decks

  • Checkered Deck only has two suits instead of the typical four, meaning that it's impossible to trigger Flower Pot's effect without buying diamond and club cards, creating Wild Cards, converting cards to other suits, or using Smeared Joker.
  • Erratic Deck may have anti-synergy with Flower Pot depending on the RNG. Some seeds may disproportionately distribute a certain suit more than others, making it harder to get all four suits in a scoring poker hand without rigorous deck fixing.

Poker Hands

  • Flush-based hands require all 5 cards to be of the same suit. Without using at least 3 Wild cards, or 2 Wild cards and Four Fingers/ Splash, Flower Pot will never trigger.
  • Without Splash, High Card, Pair, Three of a Kind will never trigger Flower Pot's X3 Mult as they contain less than four cards.
  • Sigil can be awkward to use due to the uneven suit distribution, making it harder to get all four suits in a scoring poker hand without rigorous deck fixing.

Trivia

  • In poker, the pot is the chips that have been bet, and therefore the money to be won, likely derived from the word "jackpot". In this way, Flower Pot is a play on this term, given that Flower Pot helps grow the "pot" with its X3 Mult.
  • The art of the Flower Pot card could also be a direct reference to the 1st version of Vincent Van Gogh's famous painting, "Sunflowers".
