Non-Perishable is a Challenge Deck. All Jokers found while playing are Eternal.

Starting Contents

The starting deck contains the standard 52 cards.

Synergies

Since this Challenge prevents the player from selling any kind of Joker once bought, it's important to pick the Jokers that you absolutely want to keep for the rest of the run. Focus on Consumables such as Tarot Cards and Planet Cards to get through the early Antes until you find a good Joker lineup.

  • Madness works well with this challenge since it cannot destroy any Eternal Jokers but still gains X0.5 Mult.
  • Ankh and Hex can be used to duplicate and add Polychrome freely. However, Ankh becomes useless after all Joker slots are filled.
  • Scaling Jokers like Constellation, Spare Trousers, Square Joker, etc. can be good choices as well since they will become stronger over the course of the run. Getting them as an early commitment may not be as detrimental to your build this way.

Anti-Synergies

  • Ceremonial Dagger doesn't work at all since it can't destroy any Eternal Jokers and doesn't gain + Mult.
  • Riff-Raff normally can't spawn stickered Jokers, but does spawn Eternal Jokers during this challenge, making it an extremely risky pick-up.
    • This also applies to Judgement, Wraith, The Soul and the Top-up Tag.
  • Since Jokers cannot be sold once bought, Egg and Gift Card don't give any value (besides for Swashbuckler and Temperance), making them useless.
