Odd Todd is a Common Chips Joker that provides +31 Chips when played cards with an odd rank are scored. These odd ranks are Aces, 3s, 5s, 7s, and 9s.

Synergies

  • Red Deck's extra discard makes finding strong hands with many odd ranks easier.
  • Abandoned Deck works best with Odd Todd thanks to having no Face Cards, allowing players to find odd ranks easier.
  • Mad World will also work as well, although this deck doesn't start with any Aces.
  • Magic Deck's Fool Tarots can be used as Strengths, converting even ranks or Kings into odd ranks.
  • Plasma Deck can use the large influx of Chips to win a large number of early hands, allowing one to search for better Jokers easier.
  • Certain Erratic Deck configurations will have more odd ranks.

Any poker hand can benefit from Odd Todd provided it is comprised of mainly odd cards. Todd works the best with five-card hands that encourage repeating ranks, like Full House and Five of a Kind.

  • Odd Todd generates +155 Chips when five odd ranks are scored, and more if any of those cards retrigger. This amount of Chips encourages taking more + Mult and X Mult Jokers to balance Chips and Mult. Many of them work well, though notable ones include Fibonacci and Scholar, as both also trigger on certain odd ranks.
  • Retrigger effects increase the amount of Chips Odd Todd produces. Notably, Hack works very well, as it offers unconditional retriggers on Threes and Fives (which also are triggered by Fibonacci).
  • Cloud 9 scales its money generation off having more Nines in your deck. These Nines become better to play with Odd Todd's extra chips.
  • Trading Card and DNA allow the changing of your deck to include more odd ranks and fewer non-odd ranks.
  • Ride the Bus is able to scale very well, as you never want to play non-odd ranks with Odd Todd.
  • Shortcut can let you make Straights primarily from odd cards. However, Straights already have a high amount of chip scaling from Saturn/ Neptune and certain other Jokers like Runner.

Consumables

Tarot Cards:

  • The Hanged Man can be used to destroy non-odd numbered cards in order to make the odd numbered ones easier to find.
  • Death can be used to turn other cards into odd numbered cards or Aces in order to maximize the Chips value.
  • Strength can be used to turn even numbers into odd numbers and Kings into Aces.
  • The Empress and Justice provide flat and multiplicative Mult scaling respectively to help balance Odd Todd's Chips bonus.

Spectral Cards:

  • Deja Vu can apply a Red Seal onto some odd and Ace cards, which allows for more Odd Todd triggers.
  • Cryptid can create more copies of odd and Ace cards.
  • Grim can provide more Ace cards to play in exchange for destroying 1 random card. While an odd numbered card could be destroyed in the process, Aces provide the highest number of Chips when played, making the risk worth it.
  • Incantation could also create more odd-ranked cards with random enhancements despite having to destroy a random card in your hand as a drawback.

Trivia

  • It is similar in style to Even Steven, with that being Mult and even ranks.
  • Due to his theming of odd numbers, Odd Todd's clothes are different from other jokers. He wears a hat with an odd number of baubles on top and has only three frill baubles below instead of four. Out of all the baubles, three of them are white and one of them is black. He also only has one eye open, as opposed to other jokers, who usually have both of their eyes open.
  • Odd Todd being blue as opposed to Even Steven's red is in relation to his ability to add Chips to your score.
  • He is another Joker to get merchandise from Makeship alongside Even Steven as part of a Combo Pack mini-plush set.[1]
