Zany Joker is a Common Additive Mult Joker that provides +12 Mult when playing a hand containing a Three of a Kind. This includes hands that include any three cards with the same rank, such as a Full House.

• Ghost Deck ( [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] cards may appear in the shop, start with a {{spectral|Hex}} card Win a run with the {{D|Yellow}} on [[Stakes|any difficulty]] Ghost Deck.png) has several spectral cards (namely Ouija (Converts all cards in hand to a single random [[Card Ranks|{{hl|orange|rank}}]]<br>{{hl|red|-1}} hand size Available from start. Spectral Ouija.png)) that make deck fixing towards Three of a Kind and above much easier.
• Abandoned Deck ( Start run with no {{F|}}[[Card Ranks#Face cards|{{hl|orange|Face Cards}}]] in your deck Win a run with the {{D|Green}} on [[Stakes|any difficulty]] Abandoned Deck.png) and Mad World ( ) both have smaller deck sizes, making Three of a Kinds much more consistent to find.
• Painted Deck ( {{hl|orange|+2}} hand size, <br> {{hl|red|-1}} Joker slot Win a run with any [[Decks|deck]] on the {{Stake|Green}} difficulty or harder Painted Deck.png) starts with +2 hand size, making a Three of a Kind easier to search for.
• Erratic Deck ( All [[Card Ranks|{{hl|orange|Ranks}}]] and [[Suits|{{hl|orange|Suits}}]] in deck are randomized Win a run with any [[Decks|deck]] on the {{Stake|Orange}} difficulty or harder Erratic Deck.png) can work well with Zany Joker if the seed grants a deck with many cards of the same rank.

Playing any hand with three cards of the same rank will trigger Zany Joker. This includes:

• Three of a Kind
• Full House
• Four of a Kind
• Five of a Kind
• Flush House
• Flush Five

• Wily Joker ({{Chips|+100}} if played hand contains a {{ph|Three of a Kind}} Common Chips Independent Wily Joker.png) gives +100 Chips when playing a Three of a Kind.
• The Trio ({{xmult|3}} if played hand contains a {{ph|Three of a Kind}} Win a run without playing a {{ph|Three of a Kind}}. Rare Multiplicative Mult Independent The Trio.png) gives X3 Mult when playing any hand that has a Three of a Kind, synergizing greatly with Zany Joker's flat +12 Mult.

• The Hanged Man (Destroys up to {{hl|orange|2}} selected cards Available from start. Tarot The Hanged Man.png) and Immolate (Destroys {{hl|orange|5}} random cards in hand, gain {{Money|20}} Available from start. Spectral Immolate.png) can cut deck size down on the size of the player's deck and make assembling a Three of a Kind much easier.
• Death (Select {{hl|orange|2}} cards, convert the {{hl|orange|left}} card into the {{hl|orange|right}} card<br>{{hl|gray|(Drag to rearrange)}} Available from start. Tarot Death.png) can turn cards into other cards and make Three of a Kinds more consistent to put together.
• Ouija (Converts all cards in hand to a single random [[Card Ranks|{{hl|orange|rank}}]]<br>{{hl|red|-1}} hand size Available from start. Spectral Ouija.png) makes all cards held in hand the same rank at the cost of reducing hand size by -1, making it easier to assemble a Three of a Kind.

• This joker is part of a series which provide a Mult boost for a specific hand. The others are Jolly Joker ({{Mult|+8}} if played hand contains a {{ph|Pair}} Common Additive Mult Independent Jolly Joker.png), Mad Joker ({{Mult|+10}} if played hand contains a {{ph|Two Pair}} Common Additive Mult Independent Mad Joker.png), Crazy Joker ({{Mult|+12}} if played hand contains a {{ph|Straight}} Common Additive Mult Independent Crazy Joker.png) and Droll Joker ({{Mult|+10}} if played hand contains a {{ph|Flush}} Common Additive Mult Independent Droll Joker.png).
• In demo versions of the game, Zany Joker had a different color scheme with yellow and red. The Steam page for Balatro still shows this old art in some screenshots.
