Blackboard is an Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Joker that provides a large X3 Mult boost when all drawn cards remaining (after playing a hand) are  Spades or  Clubs. The boost also activates when there are no cards left in hand.

Any Wild Cards (Can be used as any suit Wild Card.png) will also count as a  Spade/ Club. Stone Cards ({{chips|+50}}<br>no rank or suit Stone Card.png) have no suit and will prevent the effect from activating if left in hand.

• Checkered Deck ( Start run with {{hl|orange|26}} {{suit|Spades}} and {{hl|orange|26}} {{suit|Hearts}} in deck Win a run with the {{D|Black}} on any difficulty Checkered Deck.png): Since half of this deck is  Spades, it's easier to play a  Heart Flush and leave only  Spade cards in hand.
• Five-Card Draw ( ) works well with Blackboard, as this deck only has a hand size of 5, making it easier to hold  Clubs or  Spades.

• Blackboard can work well in Flush builds if you can convert the entire deck into  Spades and  Clubs. However, having one  Heart/ Diamond card in hand will make Blackboard useless.
• Blackboard is secretly one of the best payoffs in the game for High Card and Pair builds. For example, if half of your hand is  Hearts and  Diamonds, playing all 4 of them will often result in a High Card hand. This means that High Card builds get to trigger Blackboard most of the time.

• Wild Cards (Can be used as any suit Wild Card.png) in hand will be treated as a  Club or  Spade by the Blackboard.
• With Blackboard, it's more beneficial to add modifiers that trigger upon holding cards of  Spade and  Club, as they are more often left in hand:
  • Steel Cards ({{xmult|1.5}} while this card stays in hand Steel Card.png) can give X1.5 Mult, combining on Blackboard to produce high scores.
  • Gold Cards ({{money|3}} if this card is held in hand at end of round Gold Card.png) and Blue Seal (Creates the {{Planet|}} card for final played [[Poker Hands|{{hl|orange|poker hand}}]] of round if {{hl|orange|held}} in hand<br>{{room}} Blue Seal.png) cards can be held until the end of the round for a bonus.

• Shortcut (Allows {{ph|Straights}} to be made with gaps of {{hl|orange|1 rank}} <br> {{hl|gray|(ex: {{hl|orange|10 8 6 5 3}})}} Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Shortcut.png) and Four Fingers (All {{ph|Flushes}} and {{ph|Straights}} can be made with 4 cards Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Four Fingers.png) make it easier to play a straight, making it possible to use up all of the  Diamond and  Heart cards in hand.
• Stuntman ({{Chips|+250}},<br>{{hl|orange|-2}} hand size Earn at least 100 million (100,000,000) Chips in a single hand. Rare Chips Independent Stuntman.png) greatly reduces hand size, significantly increasing the player's chances of their hand containing no  Diamond and  Heart cards.
• Similarly, Merry Andy ({{hl|red|+3}} discards each round, <br>{{hl|red|-1}} hand size Win a run in {{hl|orange|12}} or fewer rounds Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Merry_Andy.png) reduces hand size and increases discards, making it easier to hold only  Spades or  Clubs.

Ouija (Converts all cards in hand to a single random [[Card Ranks|{{hl|orange|rank}}]]<br>{{hl|red|-1}} hand size Available from start. Spectral Ouija.png) and Ectoplasm (Add [[Card Modifiers#Editions|{{hl|edition|Negative}}]] to a random {{hl|orange|Joker,}} {{hl|red|-1}} hand size Available from start. Spectral Ectoplasm.png) have a permanent -1 hand size penalty, making it easier to hold all  Spades and  Clubs.

• The Manacle ( Boss The Manacle.png) reduces hand size, making it easier to hold all  Spades and  Clubs.

• The Hook ( Boss The Hook.png) discards 2 cards held in hand, allowing a chance for Blackboard to trigger even if 1 or 2  Diamond or  Heart cards are held in hand.

• The Moon (Converts up to {{hl|orange|3}} selected cards to {{Suit|Clubs}} Available from start. Tarot The Moon.png) and The World (Converts up to {{hl|orange|3}} selected cards to {{Suit|Spades}} Available from start. Tarot The World.png) can turn some  Hearts and  Diamonds into  Clubs or  Spades, allowing Blackboard to trigger easier.
• The Lovers (Enhances {{hl|orange|1}} selected card into a [[Card Modifiers|{{hl|orange|Wild Card}}]] Available from start. Tarot The Lovers.png) can turn  Hearts or  Diamonds into Wild Cards (Can be used as any suit Wild Card.png), which triggers Blackboard.
• The Hanged Man (Destroys up to {{hl|orange|2}} selected cards Available from start. Tarot The Hanged Man.png) and Death (Select {{hl|orange|2}} cards, convert the {{hl|orange|left}} card into the {{hl|orange|right}} card<br>{{hl|gray|(Drag to rearrange)}} Available from start. Tarot Death.png) can help remove  Hearts and  Diamonds, which allows Blackboard to trigger easier.

• Painted Deck ( {{hl|orange|+2}} hand size, <br> {{hl|red|-1}} Joker slot Win a run with any [[Decks|deck]] on the {{Stake|Green}} difficulty or harder Painted Deck.png)'s +2 hand sizes makes it slightly harder to hold only  Clubs or  Spades in your hand to trigger Blackboard.

• When playing against debuffing Boss Blinds, debuffed Wild Cards (Can be used as any suit Wild Card.png) revert to their original suit, debuffed Stone Cards ({{chips|+50}}<br>no rank or suit Stone Card.png) prevent Blackboard from activating, and debuffed base cards behave as normal. This means that e.g. a debuffed (wild) diamond card will prevent Blackboard from activating.

• Paint Brush ({{hl|orange|+1}} hand size Base Paint Brush.png) and Palette ({{hl|orange|+1}} hand size Reduce your hand size down to five cards. Upgraded Palette.png) have a slight anti-synergy with Blackboard, as the increased hand sizes provided by these vouchers make it harder to hold  Clubs or  Spades in your hand.

• The art is reminiscent of blackboards (sometimes called chalkboards) found in schools and other learning environments, including the piece of chalk used to draw and write on it. Despite the name, they are not always made of black material and can often be found in grey, green, or dark blue. In many situations, they have been replaced with whiteboards (also called dry-erase boards).
