The Hanged Man
Destroys up to 2 selected cards
The Hanged Man is a Tarot card that allows the player to permanently destroy two cards from their deck.
Usage notes
- Destroying a selected card while battling
Cerulean Bell ( Showdown Cerulean Bell.png) will allow the player to freely select other cards for that hand.
Strategies
- The Hanged Man is best used to cut the unwanted cards out of the player's deck in order to make their most desired cards easier to find. For example, if the player intends on playing only face cards, the player can use the Hanged Man to destroy the numbered and Ace cards.
- The Hanged Man is also useful if the player has a Joker that scales when cards are destroyed, such as

Synergies
All decks benefit from the Hanged Man, as it is generally recommended for the player to thin out their deck as early as possible. But there are two that stand out:

Trivia
- Destroyed cards will be visually burned, except for Glass Cards ({{xmult|2}}<br>{{hl|green|1 in 4}} chance to destroy card Glass Card.png), which will be visually broken as if they were broken on use.
- The Hanged Man has meanings that correlate with the concepts of "surrender" and "letting go", emphasizing the card's ability to destroy up to 2 selected cards.
