Black Hole is a Spectral card that upgrades every poker hand, including hands not yet discovered, by one level.

Black Hole can only be found in Booster Packs, where it has a chance of replacing each planet or spectral card in the pack with a 0.3% chance. This means Black Hole can be found in Spectral and Celestial packs, but also in Arcana packs if the Omen Globe ({{Spectral|}} cards may appear in any of the [[Arcana Packs|{{hl|orange|Arcana Packs}}]] Use a total of 25 Tarot cards from booster packs Upgraded Omen Globe.png) voucher has been claimed. It cannot be created by Sixth Sense (If {{hl|orange|first hand}} of round is a single {{hl|orange|6}}, destroy it and create a [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] card <br> {{room}} Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Sixth_Sense.png) and Séance (If [[Poker Hands|{{hl|orange|poker hand}}]] is a {{ph|Straight Flush}}, create a random [[Spectral_Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] card <br> {{room}} Uncommon Effect Independent Séance.png), or found in the shop when using the Ghost Deck ( [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] cards may appear in the shop, start with a {{spectral|Hex}} card Win a run with the {{D|Yellow}} on [[Stakes|any difficulty]] Ghost Deck.png).

• Despite being able to be found in Celestial Packs, Black Hole is strictly considered a Spectral Card and not a Planet Card.
  • Thus, Black Hole does not trigger the effects for Satellite (Earn {{Money|1}} at end of round per unique {{hl|cyan|Planet}} card used this run Have at least {{Money|400}}. Uncommon Economy N/A (Passive) Satellite.png) or Constellation (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.1}} every time a [[Planet_Cards|{{hl|cyan|Planet}}]] card is used <br> {{currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Independent Constellation.png) and cannot be copied by The Fool (Creates the last [[Tarot Cards|{{hl|purple|Tarot}}]] or [[Planet Cards|{{hl|cyan|Planet}}]] card used during this run<br><small>{{hl|purple|The Fool}} excluded</small> Available from start. • Black Hole will level up the secret poker hands (Five of a Kind, Flush House, Flush Five) even if they have not been played during the run.

Black Hole is a powerful card that should almost always be taken when looking in celestial packs. It synergizes with every build since it levels up every hand.

• Obelisk (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.2}} per {{hl|orange|consecutive}} hand played without playing your most played {{hl|orange|poker hand}} <br> {{currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Rare Multiplicative Mult Mixed Obelisk.png) has a great synergy with Black Hole as it encourages a wide variety of hands to be played.

• Constellation (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.1}} every time a [[Planet_Cards|{{hl|cyan|Planet}}]] card is used <br> {{currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Independent Constellation.png) does not scale when Black Hole is used.
• Satellite (Earn {{Money|1}} at end of round per unique {{hl|cyan|Planet}} card used this run Have at least {{Money|400}}. Uncommon Economy N/A (Passive) Satellite.png) will not increase the $ when Black Hole is used.

• Black Hole upgrades every poker hand by one level, including the secret hands. This is one of the rarest cards in Balatro, only having a 0.3% chance to replace any card in Celestial Packs and Spectral Packs. With Omen Globe ({{Spectral|}} cards may appear in any of the [[Arcana Packs|{{hl|orange|Arcana Packs}}]] Use a total of 25 Tarot cards from booster packs Upgraded Omen Globe.png), Black Hole can also spawn in Arcana Packs.
• Black Hole acts as a superior way of upgrading poker hands to Planet cards by giving one level to all poker hands. This effect, while falling short when compared to The Soul (Creates a [[Legendary Jokers|{{hl|purple|Legendary}}]] Joker <br> {{room}} Available from start. Spectral The Soul.png), is still generally better than its counterpart, Planet cards, when The Soul can be worse in certain situations against other Tarot cards.
• Using Black Hole may sometimes not be the best move. Extra levels on all poker hands are hard to utilize without using a deck that is not fixed to playing around a certain poker hand, and using the respective Planet card can put it on The Fool while also boosting Constellation (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.1}} every time a [[Planet_Cards|{{hl|cyan|Planet}}]] card is used <br> {{currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Independent Constellation.png) and possibly Satellite (Earn {{Money|1}} at end of round per unique {{hl|cyan|Planet}} card used this run Have at least {{Money|400}}. Uncommon Economy N/A (Passive) Satellite.png). So even though it is not recommended, sometimes skipping Black Hole can be a decent choice, although very rarely will the player fall into such a situation.

• The art style of Black Hole differs from other Spectral Cards and resembles that of Planet Cards. It also appears to be pulling in the sides of the card and its own name tag towards the center by the force of its gravity.
• The Soul (Creates a [[Legendary Jokers|{{hl|purple|Legendary}}]] Joker <br> {{room}} Available from start. Spectral The Soul.png) is the Tarot-equivalent version of Black Hole. Both have the same 0.3% chance to replace another card in the packs they appear in.
• Black Holes themselves aren't a spiritual element but rather an astronomical object of no energy that is spiritually believed to be a portal to another world or to the beyond.
• This and The Soul are the only two spectral cards to feature something on the top part of the card. The Black Hole features the entire solar system, which includes the planets from all of the planet cards, excluding Eris (Increases {{ph|Flush Five}} hand value by {{mult|+3}} and {{chips|+50}} Play {{ph|Flush Five}} during the current run Planet Eris.png), which is only featured in its own planet card, and Planet X (Increases {{ph|Five of a Kind}} hand value by {{mult|+3}} and {{chips|+35}} Play {{ph|Five of a Kind}} during the current run Planet Planet X.png), which isn't in the solar system at all.
