Medusa is a Challenge Deck. The deck begins with twelve Stone Cards ({{chips|+50}}<br>no rank or suit Stone Card.png), and the proportion of Stone cards in the deck will naturally increase while playing because of the Eternal Marble Joker (Adds one [[Stone Cards|{{hl|orange|Stone}}]] card to the deck when [[Blinds|{{hl|orange|Blind}}]] is selected Uncommon Effect On Blind Select Marble Joker.png).

The starting deck contains 52 cards, and all face cards are replaced with Stone cards, for a total of 12 starting Stone cards.

• Stone Joker (Gives {{Chips|+25}} for each [[Stone Card|{{hl|orange|Stone Card}}]] in your {{hl|orange|full deck}} <br> {{Currently|{{Chips|+0}}}} Uncommon Chips Independent Stone Joker.png) will provide additional Chips, as Stone cards will be added each round and all of the face cards have already been turned into Stone.
• Burnt Joker (Upgrade the level of the first {{hl|orange|discarded}} poker hand each round Sell 50 cards. Rare Effect On Discard Burnt Joker.png) can be used to scale High Card or Pair, both poker hands that work well with all of the Stone cards.
• Hologram (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.25}} every time a {{hl|orange|playing card}} is added to your deck <br> {{Currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Independent Hologram.gif) gains X0.25 Mult for free each blind.
• Blue Joker ({{Chips|+2}} for each remaining card in {{hl|orange|deck}} <br> {{currently|{{chips|+104}}}} Common Chips Independent Blue Joker.png) similarly gains +2 Chips for free each blind.
• Trading Card (If {{hl|orange|first discard}} of round has only {{hl|orange|1}} card, destroy it and earn {{Money|3}} Uncommon Economy On Discard Trading Card.png) can help reduce your deck size, as it will be bloated with the added Stone cards.
  • The Hanged Man (Destroys up to {{hl|orange|2}} selected cards Available from start. Tarot The Hanged Man.png) and Immolate (Destroys {{hl|orange|5}} random cards in hand, gain {{Money|20}} Available from start. Spectral Immolate.png) can also aid with this.
• As you start with 12 Enhanced cards and get more every round, Jokers like Vampire (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.1}} per scoring {{hl|orange|Enhanced card}} played, removes card {{hl|orange|Enhancement}} <br> {{Currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Uncommon Multiplicative Mult Mixed Vampire.png) or Driver's License ({{xmult|3}} if you have at least {{hl|orange|16}} Enhanced cards in your full deck <br> {{Currently|{{hl|orange|0}}}} Enhance 16 cards in your deck Rare Multiplicative Mult Independent Driver's License.png) can quickly improve your score.
• Ride the Bus (This Joker gains {{Mult|+1}} per {{hl|orange|consecutive}} hand played without a scoring {{hl|orange|face}} card <br> {{Currently|{{Mult|+0}}}} Common Additive Mult Mixed Ride the Bus.png) becomes trivial to scale due to the lack of face cards.
• The Plant ( Boss The Plant.png) and The Mark ( Boss The Mark.png) are irrelevant as long as the player doesn't add any Face cards or has Pareidolia (All cards are considered {{hl|orange|face}} cards Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Pareidolia.png).

• Obelisk (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.2}} per {{hl|orange|consecutive}} hand played without playing your most played {{hl|orange|poker hand}} <br> {{currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Rare Multiplicative Mult Mixed Obelisk.png) might be difficult to use once a significant portion of the deck is Stone cards, as they can only be used for High Card hands.
• Erosion ({{Mult|+4}} for each card below {{hl|orange|[the deck's starting size]}} in your full deck <br> {{Currently|{{Mult|+0}}}} Uncommon Additive Mult Independent Erosion.png) relies on a small deck size, which is more difficult to get when 1 card is added per round from Marble Joker (Adds one [[Stone Cards|{{hl|orange|Stone}}]] card to the deck when [[Blinds|{{hl|orange|Blind}}]] is selected Uncommon Effect On Blind Select Marble Joker.png).
• Jokers that synergize with face cards should be avoided unless the player has Pareidolia (All cards are considered {{hl|orange|face}} cards Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Pareidolia.png), and even then, should still be avoided if they require particular ranks such as Shoot the Moon (Each {{hl|orange|Queen}} held in hand gives {{mult|+13}} Play every Heart card in your deck in one round. Common Additive Mult On Held Shoot the Moon.png).

• If the Stone ({{chips|+50}}<br>no rank or suit Stone Card.png) Enhancement on the starting Stone Cards is removed or replaced, it can be seen that the ranks and suits match the face cards in a normal deck of cards.
• Medusa is a famous character from Greek mythology, known for turning anyone who looks at her into stone. The face cards being replaced with Stone cards is a reference to this.
