The Mark is a boss blind that draws all of the face cards face down. In other words, all of the cards with either a "King", "Queen", or "Jack" card rank, are drawn face down.

• During the Mark, using Strength (Increases rank of up to {{hl|orange|2}} selected cards by {{hl|orange|1}} Available from start. Tarot Strength.png) to turn face cards into non-face ones, or using Death (Select {{hl|orange|2}} cards, convert the {{hl|orange|left}} card into the {{hl|orange|right}} card<br>{{hl|gray|(Drag to rearrange)}} Available from start. Tarot Death.png) to copy a face-down card to an upturned one will only briefly uncover it; conversely, turning a non-face card into a face card during won't make it face-down.

• Mad World ( ) is particularly sensitive to this Boss Blind, as it starts with an Eternal Pareidolia (All cards are considered {{hl|orange|face}} cards Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Pareidolia.png), meaning all cards are drawn face down.
• Pareidolia (All cards are considered {{hl|orange|face}} cards Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Pareidolia.png): All cards are drawn face down, making it much more difficult to assemble a sufficiently scoring hand.

• The Sort feature at the bottom of the screen can narrow down what the face-down cards are. Sorting by rank sorts in descending order with: King, Queen, Jack. Sorting by suit sorts in the order of Spades, Hearts, Clubs, then Diamonds, with each suit being sorted by rank.
• You can briefly see face-down cards when using certain tarot or spectral cards, e.g., The Empress (Enhances {{hl|orange|2}} selected cards to [[Card Modifiers|{{hl|orange|Mult Cards}}]] Available from start. Tarot The Empress.png) or Ouija (Converts all cards in hand to a single random [[Card Ranks|{{hl|orange|rank}}]]<br>{{hl|red|-1}} hand size Available from start. Spectral Ouija.png).
• Consider selling Pareidolia (All cards are considered {{hl|orange|face}} cards Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Pareidolia.png) before entering the boss blind if your scoring relies on specific poker hands.

• The icon for The Mark is the Phoenician letter Taw (𐤕), which represents a mark (or crossed sticks) in the hieroglyphics from which it is derived.
