The Ox is a Boss Blind that sets the player's money to $0 if they play their most played hand during a run. In case of a tie between multiple hands, The Ox will pick one at random.^[verify]

• The most played hand is determined once the player has defeated the previous boss and enters the current ante. Changing the most played hand during the Small/Big Blind will not change the chosen hand, and rerolling into The Ox using e.g. Director's Cut (Reroll [[Blinds|Boss Blind]] {{hl|orange|1}} time per Ante, {{Money|10}} per roll Base Director's Cut.png) will pick the most played hand from the start of the ante.
• The Ox only applies to the scoring hand, not the hands that it contains. For example, playing a Straight Flush with the most played hand being Flush or Straight does not clear the player's money.
• Royal Flush is not considered a separate hand by the Ox.

• If the player plays their most played hand and has the Matador (Earn {{Money|8}} if played hand triggers the {{hl|orange|Boss Blind}} ability Defeat a Boss Blind in {{hl|orange|1 hand}} without using any discards Uncommon Economy Independent Matador.png), the boss ability will be triggered, then the Matador will provide $8.
• The boss ability can provide an advantage for players who have less than $0, since their money is technically increased.
  • With the Credit Card (Go up to {{hl|red|-$20}} in debt Common Economy N/A (Passive) Credit Card.png), where players can go up to -$20 in debt, players can earn up to an extra $20 with the boss ability.
• Obelisk (This Joker gains {{xmult|0.2}} per {{hl|orange|consecutive}} hand played without playing your most played {{hl|orange|poker hand}} <br> {{currently|{{xmult|1}}}} Rare Multiplicative Mult Mixed Obelisk.png) already encourages players to not play their most played hand, making this Boss Blind irrelevant in most cases.
