The Mouth is a boss blind that restricts the player to only playing hands with the hand type that they have used on the first hand of this round. For example, if the player has triggered a Full House on their first hand, they will only be able to score hands with a Full House. Attempting to score other hand types will result in no score being added -- the game says "Not allowed!" and forces Chips and Mult to 0, wasting the hand.

• If the player's strategy revolves mainly around a hand that is difficult to draw (such as Four of a Kind), it is recommended to use Jokers that help with looking for cards like Drunkard ({{hl|red|+1}} discard each round Common Effect N/A (Passive) Drunkard.png) to prevent getting locked into an undesirable hand due to not being able to play the correct hand as the first hand.
• Be sure to remember not to play High Card (unless you can clear the blind this way) to activate DNA (If {{hl|orange|first hand}} of round has only {{hl|orange|1}} card, add a permanent copy to deck and draw it to {{hl|orange|hand}} Rare Effect On Played DNA.png) or Sixth Sense (If {{hl|orange|first hand}} of round is a single {{hl|orange|6}}, destroy it and create a [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Spectral}}]] card <br> {{room}} Uncommon Effect N/A (Passive) Sixth_Sense.png).
• Consider selling Burglar (When [[Blind|{{hl|orange|Blind}}]] is selected, gain {{hl|blue|+3}} Hands and {{hl|orange|lose all discards}} Uncommon Effect On Blind Select Burglar.png) as you will be forced to play a hand type that is drawn in your first hand.
• It is important to note that Ice Cream ({{Chips|+100}}<br>{{Chips|-5}} for every hand played Common Chips Independent Ice Cream.png) and Seltzer (Retrigger all cards played for the next {{hl|orange|10}} hands Uncommon Retrigger On Scored Seltzer.png) still lose value even if the played hand isn't the hand that you played on your first hand.
