DNA (If orange of round has only orange card, add a permanent copy to deck and draw it to orange Rare Effect On Played DNA.png) can duplicate Foil playing cards.
Synergies
- Due to being an edition that is often given to playing cards (through Standard Packs,
Aura (Add edition, edition, or edition effect to orange selected card in hand Available from start. Spectral Aura.png), etc.), Jokers that can retrigger playing cards that may have Foil like
Hanging Chad (Retrigger orange played card used in scoring orange additional times Beat a Boss Blind with a High Card Common Retrigger On Scored Hanging Chad.png),
Sock and Buskin (Retrigger all played orange cards Play a total of orange face cards Uncommon Retrigger On Scored Sock and Buskin.png), and
Hack (Retrigger each played orange, orange, orange, or orange Uncommon Retrigger On Scored Hack.png) have the ability to indirectly provide hundreds of Chips through retriggers.
- Nearly all Jokers that give a large amount of Mult (namely, ones that are able to give a high amount of +Mult like
Ceremonial Dagger (When orange is selected, destroy Joker to the right and permanently add orange its sell value to this red <br> Uncommon Additive Mult Independent Ceremonial Dagger.png) or
Flash Card (This Joker gains +2 per orange in the shop <br> Uncommon Additive Mult Independent Flash Card.png)) benefit from Chips increasing often much more significantly than Mult.
- This is because if a hand is currently at, say, 10 Chips X 100 Mult, +50 Chips would increase the net score by a much higher amount than +50 Mult would.
Plasma Deck ( Balance blue and red when calculating score for played hand <br> red base Blind size Win a run with any deck on the Blue difficulty or harder Plasma Deck.png) balances Chips and Mult, with one Foil card yielding up to 625 Chips (25x25). This is often significantly better than
Holographic (+10 Joker (Holographic).png) or even
Polychrome (1.5 Joker (Polychrome).png), especially in most early to mid-game runs.
Ghost Deck ( sblue cards may appear in the shop, start with a Hex card Win a run with the Yellow on any difficulty Ghost Deck.png) makes it much easier to find spectral cards like
Aura (Add edition, edition, or edition effect to orange selected card in hand Available from start. Spectral Aura.png) or
Cryptid (Create orange copies of orange selected card in your hand Available from start. Spectral Cryptid.png) that are able to either make existing cards Foil or create new Foil cards.
.png)
Red Seals (Retrigger this card orange time Red Seal.png) are able to be applied to Foil playing cards, causing each one to give +100 Chips.
Usage notes
- Due to the fact that +50 Chips is a quite large amount of score, obtaining even just two Foil Jokers can often lead the player into not needing a Joker that provides Chips. This is especially the case if Foil playing cards are utilized, as playing cards can be retriggered and are much more easily able to be duplicated compared to Jokers.
