Base is an edition card modifier that provides no extra effects. It is the default edition for all playing cards, Jokers, and Consumables.

Playing Cards found in Standard Packs have the Base edition 92% of the time, changing to 84% with Hone ({{hl|edition|Foil}}, {{hl|edition|Holographic}}, and {{hl|edition|Polychrome}} cards appear {{hl|orange|2X}} more often Base Hone.png) and 68% with Glow Up ({{hl|edition|Foil}}, {{hl|edition|Holographic}}, and {{hl|edition|Polychrome}} cards appear {{hl|orange|4X}} more often Have at least 5 Joker cards with Foil, Holographic, or Polychrome (or Negative) effect Upgraded Glow Up.png).
Consumables such as Tarot Cards, Planet Cards, and Spectral Cards always appear with the Base edition, unless generated through 
Perkeo (Creates a [[Negative|{{hl|edition|Negative}}]] copy of {{hl|orange|1}} random [[Consumables|{{hl|orange|consumable}}]] card in your possession at the end of the [[The Shop|{{hl|orange|shop}}]] Find this [[Jokers|Joker]] from the [[Spectral Cards|{{hl|sblue|Soul}}]] card.
