• Crystal Ball will increase Consumables slots from 2 to 3 on most decks, and from 1 to 2 on Nebula Deck ( Start run with the {{V|Telescope|class=hl-cyan}} voucher <br> {{hl|red|-1}} consumable slot Win a run with the {{D|Blue}} on [[Stakes|any difficulty]] Nebula Deck.png).

• Nebula Deck ( Start run with the {{V|Telescope|class=hl-cyan}} voucher <br> {{hl|red|-1}} consumable slot Win a run with the {{D|Blue}} on [[Stakes|any difficulty]] Nebula Deck.png): Mitigates the downside of -1 Consumable Slot.
• Zodiac Deck ( Start run with {{V|Tarot Merchant|class=hl-purple}}, {{V|Planet Merchant|class=hl-cyan}}, and {{V|Overstock|class=hl-orange}} Win a run with any [[Decks|deck]] on the {{Stake|Red}} difficulty or harder Zodiac Deck.png): Allows you to hold the more abundant Tarot Cards that appear in each shop for use in-ante.

• Vagabond (Create a [[Tarot Cards|{{hl|purple|Tarot}}]] card if hand is played with {{Money|4}} or less Rare Effect Independent Vagabond.png): Creates a Tarot Card after each hand played when at $4 or less.
• Superposition (Create a [[Tarot Cards|{{hl|purple|Tarot}}]] card if poker hand contains an {{hl|orange|Ace}} and a {{ph|Straight}} <br> {{room}} Common Effect Independent Superposition.png): Creates a Tarot Card after playing a Straight containing an Ace.

• The additional consumable slot is especially effective with 8 Ball ({{hl|green|1 in 4}} chance for each played {{hl|orange|8}} to create a [[Tarot Cards|{{hl|purple|Tarot}}]] card when scored<br>{{room}} Common Effect On Scored 8_Ball.png), due to it generating consumables through many repetitions of low odds. Crystal Ball raises the ceiling of possible consumable payouts due to 8 Ball's Tarot generation being reliant on retriggers, which may be large enough to consistently generate more than 2 cards.
  • This applies even moreso with Oops!   • Mime (Retrigger all card {{hl|orange|held in hand}} abilities Uncommon Retrigger On Held Mime.png) can easily fill up these slots by giving 2 Planet Cards per blue seal held in hand.

• A crystal ball is an object commonly associated with witchcraft and fortune-telling for its purported use in telling someone's future. This appears to be the influence behind its relation with other magic and esotericism themed mechanics, namely tarot cards.
