Tutorial

The tutorial plays when starting a run for the first time. During the tutorial, the game's mascot, Jimbo, guides you through the basics of Balatro. It is here where players learn about Balatro's most important mechanics, such as Poker Hands, discards, Jokers, and consumables.

• The tutorial is always played on the same seed, which is aptly "TUTORIAL".
• The tutorial is always played on the Red Deck ( {{hl|red|+1}} discard every round Unlocked from start Red Deck.png), as this is the only deck available when first starting the game.
• It is possible to lose the tutorial in the first blind, like in a normal run.

• This is one of the only times Jimbo will talk to the player, with the other times being winning or losing a run.
