As I grew older (I am an old timer, into my 40s) came the conviction to fix stuff.
I am a trained auto mechanic and also a trained IT engineer. Worked for over 20 years in the IT industry, doing everything from cabling to hard-core database programming.
Now I've "retired" from the IT industry and I devote my time to fixing anything and everything that can be fixed. From small engine equipment to electronic devices, watches, etc.
I hope to be able to contribute to iFixit as their focus on repairing and the right to repair is close to my heart. I hate how the world has grown a throw away mentality.
