Einleitung

Use this guide to replace the lower feed roller bearing in a General Pipe Cleaners Drain Cleaner PMEBO 2016. There are two lower feed roller bearings—this guide only shows removal of only one of them. To remove the other, follow this procedure for the other side.

General Pipe Cleaners Bottom Feed Roller W/Bearing ME-7450

Schritt 1

Before you begin, make sure the drain cleaner is disconnected from power.
Use a 1/4 inch socket wrench to remove the three bolts securing the cable adjustment plate.

Schritt 2

Remove the cable adjustment plate.

Schritt 3

Use a 3/16 inch hex wrench to remove the swing pin.

Schritt 4

Pull the thrust bearing straight out and remove it.
Use pliers to slide the bottom carrier straight out of the feed body.

Schritt 5

Use a 3/16 inch hex wrench to remove the feed roller shaft.
It may be necessary to insert a thin screwdriver or hex wrench into the top end of the carrier to help hold the carrier while you loosen the feed roller shaft.
