Einleitung

Die Bürstenleiste am Staubsauger nutzt sich mit der Zeit ab. Wenn die Bürste den Boden verkratzt oder nicht mehr so gut reinigt wie sonst, solltest du die Bürstenleiste reparieren.

    • Schalte den Staubsauger aus und ziehe den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose.

    • Lege den Staubsauger so auf die Oberseite, dass die Bürstenleiste zu dir zeigt.

    • Drehe die drei Plastik-"Schrauben" um 90 Grad nach links.

    • Halte die Bodenplatte an beiden Seiten fest und kippe sie nach unten vom Staubsauger weg.

    • Entferne die Bodenplatte vom Staubsauger.

    • Drehe die quadratischen Laschen an der Bürstenleiste so, dass sie nach außen zeigen.

    • Heble den Riemen mit einem Schraubendreher von der Bürstenleiste hoch.

    • Zerschneide nicht versehentlich den Riemen mit dem Schraubendreher.

    • Halte den Riemen hoch und ziehe die Bürstenleiste zum Entfernen nach links.

    • Du kannst den Riemen loslassen, wenn die Bürstenleiste frei ist. Der Riemen zieht sich nicht zurück.

    • Setze zum Einbau die Bürstenleiste mit den Laschen nach außen ein, drehe dann die Laschen, um die Bürstenleiste zu befestigen.

    Some models don't have the clutch mechanism, but are driven directly from the motor (and the belt cover which is shown as the clutch cover is now part of the soleplate); in that case, it may be simpler to just remove the belt from the motor spindle.

    If you've had the vacuum cleaner more than 2 or 3 years, consider changing the belt at the same time, they are not expensive

Too bad it don't work that easy when reassembling the drive belt over the brush roller. Dyson should reinvent another way and drop dead!

Make sure you get all 4 tabs back in before you close it up. It IS a ##&&% to do on some models.

RE-insert brush bar? You mean insert new brush bar? (Not reinsert the old one like in the picture because after all this is instructions for replacing the brush bar right?) Aakkk!

At the bottom it says "to reassemble follow these instructions backwards"...something like that.

Easy-peasy! My DC 14 Animal is 15 years old. This is its first set of new brushes. My carpet looks new! The install took only five minutes, including looking for a beefy screwdriver. The instructions were easy to follow, just required one to read ALL the material. Thanks every so.

Literally takes two minutes.!! The hardest part was holding the belt clear enough to slide the new brushbar into place. I replaced the soleplate at the same time.

belt is not turning the brush bar , and the belt is not broken , is this something i can repair my self.

The Dyson DC 14 is a piece of CRAP! It is very poorly designed. I would never buy another one.

These instructions suck. First they assume familiarity with the inner workings of the device. Second there are insufficient visual identification of parts and devices. I've busted a knuckle attempting these “simple" instructions.

How long should the bristles on the bar be? Mine are currently at 1/4 inch or a little more. Is that too worn down or do you think it’s ok?

WOW! What a difference a CLEAN brush bar makes when sweeping! Needed an extra hand when pulling on belt to release and reinstall brush bar, but otherwise went smoothly! Thanks for the step-by-step pics!
