To remove the risk of electrocution, turn off the vehicle before attempting replacement
Release the trunk latch.
The release can often be found on the floor, near the fuel access and hood release buttons.
Remove bulb from tail light assembly.
Remove the bulb from its' socket.
Be sure to only remove the bulb. Removing the socket as well will require another replacement in order to properly function.
To re-install a tail light, follow these steps in reverse.
